Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.

Waxing causes a quick sting but is brief; most clients report tolerable discomfort. Our estheticians use gentle techniques, room-temperature wax and can offer topical numbing if needed. Regular waxing often becomes less sensitive over time.

Most clients enjoy smooth results for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycles and individual hormones. Regular appointments can lead to finer, slower regrowth and longer intervals between services.

Clean, dry skin is ideal; avoid heavy moisturizers, chemical exfoliants, and retinoids 48-72 hours before your visit. Hair should be about a quarter-inch long so the wax can grip and remove hair effectively.

Avoid direct sun, steam, saunas and heavy sweating for 24–48 hours. Keep the area clean, apply a soothing gel or aloe, and wait 48 hours before exfoliating to prevent irritation and ingrown hairs.

Scarring is rare when performed by trained professionals using proper technique. Avoid waxing over active cystic acne or broken skin. Inform us of medications or skin conditions to reduce risk and enable a patch test if necessary.

Chin waxing is generally safe during pregnancy, but skin may be more sensitive. Certain medications like isotretinoin contraindicate waxing. Always disclose medications and consult your doctor if unsure; we can perform a sensitivity patch test.
