Get answers to common questions about Lower Legs Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smooth lower legs for three to six weeks, depending on hair growth cycle, hormones and individual factors. Regular waxing can extend time between appointments as hair grows back finer and slower, though results vary person to person.
Some discomfort is normal, especially for first-time waxers, but it's brief. Technicians use proper technique, skin tension and calming products to reduce pain. Take pain relievers beforehand if needed, avoid caffeine, and schedule around low-sensitivity times for a gentler experience.
Exfoliate gently two to three days before and keep skin clean and dry. Allow hair to be at least quarter-inch long. Avoid heavy moisturizers, sunburn, or active retinol use 48 hours prior. Arrive relaxed to help the process go smoothly.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, intense exercise and tight clothing for 24 hours to prevent irritation. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer and avoid exfoliation for two days. Use SPF when exposed and consult us if redness or persistent bumps occur.
Yes, but sensitivities should be discussed during booking. We perform patch tests, use gentler waxes and calming products, and adjust technique accordingly. Pre- and post-care instructions help reduce reactions; severe sensitivities or active skin conditions may require medical advice first.
Ideally hair should be about a quarter-inch (approximately 6 mm) long for effective grip. If hair is shorter, waxing won't be successful; if much longer, trim slightly for comfort. We can advise and adjust length during your appointment.
