Typically results last three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth, hormones, and care. With regular waxing hair often regrows finer. For best results, book maintenance appointments every four to six weeks and follow our aftercare advice to extend smoothness.

Some discomfort is normal, especially for first-timers, but our estheticians use techniques and suitable wax to minimize pain. Numbing creams may be discussed. Short, controlled sessions and relaxed breathing help reduce sensitivity; most clients report tolerable sensations.

Exfoliate gently two days before to remove dead skin, avoid moisturizers on the day, and ensure hair is about one-quarter inch long. Arrive in comfortable clothing and inform us about medications, skin conditions, or recent tanning.

Common temporary effects include redness, slight swelling, and minor sensitivity for up to 24-48 hours. Proper aftercare reduces irritation. Rarely, ingrown hairs or bumps occur; contact us if you experience prolonged pain, severe swelling, or signs of infection.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding generally allow waxing, but sensitivities and hormone-driven skin changes increase discomfort and irritation risk. Consult your healthcare provider and inform your esthetician. We can adjust pressure and products or postpone if your provider advises against it.

Hair should be approximately one-quarter inch (about six millimeters) long for the wax to grip properly. If hair is shorter, wait until it grows; if longer, trim slightly. We'll assess length at appointment and advise accordingly.
